Dear Howick Historical Village

I am really grateful that I could explore this village and see new things.  Thank you for making us feel welcome and for teaching us about the village.  I really enjoyed playing with the outside toys and learning about how they work. My favorite part was playing with the stilts and playing double dutch because I got the most jumps. I would really enjoy it if stilts were sold nowadays.

The inside toys were really fun but they looked really hard to make.  They were also a little bit challenging to figure out how they work.  My favorite toy was the one when you had to pull the two strings to get the toy to go up to the top.  It’s a great toy for having competitions with.  I wish that we had a few in my class.  Also thank you to the teacher who taught us about them.

I was especially impressed when my class and I went to the school and did handwriting and had a competition with boys at spelling even though they won.  I wouldn’t even of imagined the olden days being liked that.  I also liked how the teacher in there was an awesome actor and growled the teachers about their nails and hair.

Exploring the place was a new adventure to me but I really enjoyed it and had fun seeing everything.  It was fun pumping the water and seeing the rotten corn.  All the ornaments looked awesome and the way the houses looked inside felt like it was the olden days.  I also liked how you built the toilet at the back so we could see how they looked.

Thank you very much.

Yours sincerely,

Lavinia
