The Unwritten

The Unwritten

Inside this scrapbook
lay pages hiding away
never been used
never been touched

they’re hiding

They’re waiting in
dark black shadows
their whitepages pristine
but you won’t see them
until opened
not for rain, not for sun, not for flood

still hiding
waiting for the future
child or adult
to reveal themselves

what kind of design
or drawing it could be
olden day or futuristic
would I have seen it before
would I like it
to know what I'm looking at

Maybe there are a lot
or there is just one
but until then
they’ll wait

every scrapbook in the world

is like this.
